Tell children they will be watching the video Between the Lions “Spicy Hot Colors” again.
Before You Watch
Set a viewing focus by asking children to think about all the different shades of colors they see on each screen.
As You Watch
Encourage children to interact with the video during viewing.
- Have children shout out the color as the narrator reads it.
- Pause and allow children to identify an image on the screen, for example, dark green shirt or dark purple piñata.
After You Watch
Have children describe their favorite image. Encourage them to talk about the colors in the image and the many shades of that color.
