Learn About Letters Together: Terrific “T” Table
ELA Focus Skills: Letter Formation, Letter Recognition
Welcome children to the Terrific “T” table. Give each child a large outline of the uppercase letter “T.” Ask them to color in the “T.” Then tell children you want them to make their plain “T” into a Terrific “T.”
- Explain to children that you want them to look through the magazines and find pictures of things that begin with the /t/ sound. Have them cut out the pictures and glue them on the sheet around the “T.”
- Then have children find “Tt” letters in the flyers and have them cut and paste them on the sheet.
- When children have finished their Terrific “T” drawings have them identify the pictures and then hold up their creations and shout, “My Terrific ‘T’!” Hang the creations around the room.
