Watch Together: “The Many Meanings of Cool” (BTL clip)

ELA Focus Skills: Vocabulary, Active Listening

Have children watch a short video clip about the different meanings of the word cool.

Hold up the word card cool and ask children what letter the word begins with. Then play Between the Lions “The Many Meanings of Cool” once without pausing.

  • Then play the video again and pause a few times and talk about different meanings of the word cool. 
  • You may want to play the video one more time and allow children to stand up, move their bodies, and shout out "You're cool!" along with the lions.
