Have children create a mural about The Three Little Javelinas. Talk about the desert scenery and the materials the wild pigs used to make their houses. Let children refer to illustrations in the book to refresh their memories about how tumbleweeds, the cactus, or an adobe house looks. Display the mural near the one you made last week so children can compare and contrast the two settings as they role-play or retell the story.
