Display the read-aloud books Tap Tap Bang Bang by Emma Garcia and The Three Little Javelinas by Susan Lowell, along with any other books you read together during the week. Ask children to reflect on the videos they watched as well.

Look at and praise children’s artwork, writing, and charts displayed around the room. Then talk about what children did and learned this week, including their work in the Learning Centers. For example, ask

  • What did we learn about building towers? What kinds of materials did we use? How did we use them?
  • How did we build our towers higher? Stronger?

Finally review the target letter, letter sound, and word for the week. Say, We also learned about the letter “Tt” and the letter sound /t/ and talked about the word tool.

  • Tell me a word that begins with “Tt.”
  • Tell me a word that ends with the letter sound /t/.
