Skill Focus: Hand-Eye Coordination, Vocabulary

Have children measure the towers they are building this week using standard and nonstandard tools and have them record their results. For example, have them use string and scissors to measure their towers or they can use themselves as “kid rulers” to measure how tall their towers are. Have children work in pairs or groups to take measurements and record their results. Encourage children to discuss their results and collaborate on ways to build higher and stronger.
