ELA Focus Skills: Matching, Word Recognition

Remind children of the words they have learned during this unit. Spread the word cards in front of you and the children and say each of the words aloud with children. Pick up a card (e.g., build) and ask children to identify it. Ask a volunteer to find another card with the same word on it. Say, Now we have a match! Allow children to work together to find other matches.
