Sing the chant “Clap a Friend’s Name” with children. Ask children to hold up their name card or find their name on the name chart as you call their name. Let each child choose whether to clap or hop the syllables in his or her name. Have the rest of the group clap the syllables. Continue until every child has had a turn.
