Skill Focus: Creative Expression, Vocabulary

Have children draw a picture of the story characters from The Little Red Hen to help them recall and retell the story. Ask children to use their drawings to retell parts of the story, for example, how the little red hen planted and took care of the wheat grain. Help children label the characters and write their name on their picture.
