Skill Focus: Fine Motor Skills, Letter Recognition, Vocabulary, Word Recognition

Display the word card water. Read the word together. Point to the letter “Ww” and ask, What’s the first letter in the word water? Point to each of the remaining letters and ask children to name them. Have children fish for the letters in the word water and then arrange the letters to match the word card.
