Have children make a group mural about the bears’ ride on the river. Encourage the use of a variety of art media as children illustrate the characters, the flowing water, and the scenery. Let children use the book as inspiration and for reference. Display the mural in the Library Center or the Pretend and Play Center for children to look at when they role play and retell the story.
