Skill Focus: Imaginative Play, Fine Motor Skills, Vocabulary

Invite children to create boats from blocks. Ask them to make the different types of boats they have been reading about: speedboats, sailboats, riverboats, etc. Encourage children to construct “water” for the boat as well by making rivers, oceans, and waves. Help children attach or prop up the pre-made sails on their boats.
