The More We Get Together
(sung to the tune of “Have You Ever Seen a Lassie?”)
The more we get together,
Together, together.
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
For your friends are my friends,
And my friends are your friends.
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
There’s <child’s name> and <child’s name>,
and <child’s name> and <child’s name>.
There’s <child’s name> and <child’s name>,
and <child’s name> and <child’s name>.
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
Adaptation: Continue to support those who do not yet recognize their names in print. Attach a sticker that begins with the same sound as the name, and prompt by pointing to the letter and saying the beginning sound.
