Display the letter “Pp” card. Trace over both the lowercase and uppercase “Pp.” Have children trace each letter after you.

Show children how to use the materials to form the letters. Ask,

  • Which part of the letter is made of a straight line? Which part is curved?
  • Have children trace the letter card as they respond.

Encourage children to continue to describe each letter as they form it (e.g., uppercase, lowercase, big, little, straight, curved, etc.).
