Invite children to watch the Between the Lions video “River Story” again. Say, Where do you think the river’s journey ends? Let’s watch to find out.
After You Watch
After viewing the video, ask,
- Which part of the river’s journey do you think was most exciting? Why?
- What is the water like where the river meets the ocean? Introduce the word brackish to describe water that is somewhat salty but not as salty as ocean water.
- Would you like to ride in a boat all the way down the river to the ocean? What would you most like to see along the way?
