Build a Letter (“Bb”)
Skill Focus: Counting, Hand-Eye Coordination, Letter Formation, Letter Recognition,
Invite children to make the letter “Bb” with blocks. Ask, How many blocks will you need to make the uppercase letter “B”? How can we make a lowercase “b”? Have children use arch blocks for the curved pieces.
Adaptation: For groups with very young children you may want to tape large paper letters “B” and “b” onto the floor. Allow children to build their letters as they follow the paper samples.
