Educator Prep: Make dot-to-dot copies of the uppercase and lowercase letter “Bb” (one per child). Place a star sticker at the upper left corner of the letter so children know where to begin tracing the letter.
Help children practice writing the letter “Bb.”
- Give each child a copy of the dot-to-dot uppercase and lowercase letter.
- Model how to begin at the star and trace each letter with your fingers, the way you would write each letter.
- Have children trace the letters on their papers.
- Distribute crayons or markers.
- Let children connect the dots to write the letters “Bb.”
Adaptation: If young children have trouble tracing the letters, hold their hands loosely so that they still have control, and trace the lines with them.
