Read aloud a nonfiction or fiction book about floating and sinking. You may want to use a title in the Recommended Book List or choose one of your favorites. Before, during, and after reading, ask questions to help children make connections between the story/concept in the book, their Discovery activities, and their experiences with floating and sinking.
