Tell children that they are going to watch the Between the Lions video clip “Vowelles and Johnny Consonanti: ‘u’ from ‘up’” about the word up. Ask, What letter sound does the word up begin with?
- Show the video clip.
- Help children understand that the singers use the sound of the word up to make music.
- Play the video again and invite children to sing along with the Vowelles as they sing the word up.
