Read aloud one of your favorite books about color, or reread Red is a Dragon by Roseanne Thong or The Colors of Us by Karen Katz to reinforce the concepts of the unit.
- You may want to focus on particular colors for this read. Ask children to choose which colors they want to focus on before you begin reading.
- You may want to review different colors by passing out a color strip to each child and asking them to raise it in the air if you are reading a page about their color. For example, if you read (from Red Is a Dragon) “Green are the toads beneath my pail,” any child with a green strip should raise it in the air. You may wish to let children choose the book they want you to read from the Library Center.
