Read Together: Educator’s Choice, Unit 1, Week 1, #2
Reread one of the books from the week, or select a book from the “Recommended Books” list in the Unit Overview.
Depending on the book you choose to read, review topics from the week, such as,
- identifying family members and their roles in the family
- what a friend is
- different ways you can feel when you are with a friend
Have children make connections to their own lives by asking questions such as,
- Do you and your friend like to explore like the boys in the story?
- What kinds of things do you and your family do that are similar to the family in the story?
- What new things did the friends learn together? What new things did you and a friend learn together this week?
