Reread one of the books from the week, or select a book from the “Recommended Books” list in the Unit Overview.

Depending on the book you choose to read, review topics from the week, such as,

  • identifying family members and their roles in the family
  • what a friend is
  • different ways you can feel when you are with a friend

Have children make connections to their own lives by asking questions such as,

  •  Do you and your friend like to explore like the boys in the story?
  • What kinds of things do you and your family do that are similar to the family in the story?
  • What new things did the friends learn together? What new things did you and a friend learn together this week?
