Small Group: Off to the Library
Gather a small group of children to play “Off to the Library” (Pretend and Play Center activity).
Encourage children to work as a group. Talk about ways children can work together and use some of the qualities they are learning about taking turns, listening to other children’s ideas, and helping one another when a child does not know how to do something.
Make sure that children have their library cards that they made in the Art Center. Remind them to bring their card with them if they want to borrow any books from the library. Review the “Taking Care of Books” chart displayed in the Library Center.
