Build a Letter (“Qq”)
Skill Focus: Counting, Hand-Eye Coordination, Letter Formation, Letter Recognition, Vocabulary
Invite children to make the letter “Q” with blocks. You may want to draw large outlines of each letter on poster paper for children to refer to as they work. Ask, What kinds of lines are in the uppercase letter “Q”? Are they curvy, straight, or slanted? How will you make the lines? Repeat with the lowercase letter “q.”
