Model how to play the game PEEP and the Big Wide World “Where’s Quack?” As children play, ask questions such as,

  • When you listen carefully to Quack’s voice, does he sound far away? How do you know?
  • Do sounds that are far away sound louder or softer?
  • Where does it sound like Quack is? Does he sound like he’s inside a can or a doghouse? Click on where you think he’s hiding.

After a few games ask, Do you think Quack’s voice sounds louder or softer when it is far away?
