Family Connection: Unit 3, Week 2

Download and  print out the Family Connection letter to send home with children. 

Tell children you are going to give them each a paper necklace to wear home.

• Explain that you want them to listen for a loud and quiet sound at home or on the way home.
• Then have a family member help them write the sound on the necklace and bring it back to school tomorrow. 

Write the following sentence on the front of the square “I heard a loud sound,” and on the back write "I heard a soft sound."

• Ask a family member at pick up time (or encourage children to ask) to help their child write what they heard under the sentence. (e.g., a dog barking/a sprinkler)
