Skill Focus: Listening and Speaking

Demonstrate how to play the online game PEEP and the Big Wide World “Sounds Like Fun!” Show children how to click on the animals to hear the sounds they make. Repeat the instructions. Say, Click on the animal to make it start and stop. Ask, What sounds does the beaver make? Click to hear the beaver make sounds and then click another animal to hear more sounds. Help children point and click on the animals. Ask children to compare the different animal sounds and encourage them to use the concept vocabulary they learned.
