Skill Focus: Fine Motor Skills, Letter Recognition, Vocabulary, Word Recognition

Display the jazz word card. Point to the word as you say it aloud. Then point to the letterj” and ask, What’s the first letter in the word jazz? Help children identify the remaining letters. Have children fish for the letters j, a, z, and z. Then arrange the letters to match the word jazz on the word card.
