Educator Prep: Before meeting, prepare poem sheets for children.

Tell children they will write a music poem. Say, We are going to write poems that tell about different ways music makes us feel. Say, First, I’ll write one on the chart. On chart paper write:

Music makes me feel                         .
Music makes me feel                         .
Music makes me feel                          .
Music makes me feel                          .

Give each child a poem sheet. Have them dictate what they would like to write on the lines.
