Have children watch a video clip Between the Lions “Lions Jabber, Jig, Jog.” Play the video clip without pausing and have children listen for the /j/ sound.
For the next viewing, line the children up in groups of four to mimic the lions in the video. Tell children to act out the lions in the video as they jabber, jig, and jog. Play the video and have children copy along with the lions.
Educator Tip: You may want to watch Between the Lions “Lions Jabber, Jig, Jog” and “Lions Laughing” at the same time so you can review the letter sounds /j/ and /l/ together.
