Sing “Show Us Something You Can Do” with children. Sing the song once to demonstrate. Then sing it again,  holding up a child’s name card. Say, If you can recognize your name, show us how you can move! When the child does the movement, build vocabulary by describing the motion to the class. For example, say, Look at how Samantha moves! She can sway her arms from side to side.

Show Us Something You Can Do
Hello, <child’s name>. How are you?
Show us something you can do.
(child performs motion)

This is what <child’s name> can do.
We can all do it, too.
(children copy motion)
