Review the Week Together: Unit 4, Week 3
Review with children their observations from the week. Use the books and charts to encourage discussion of any observations they made about listening to, moving to, and making music. Encourage the use of concept vocabulary learned throughout the unit to describe their observations.
Focus children’s attention on the Musical Instrument wall.
- Have children name the instruments, the sounds the instruments make, and how the instruments are played.
- Ask children to tell you what book or video they saw the instrument in and who was playing it.
- Encourage children to share any new observations they made about the instruments they played this week.
Review the letter “Ii” by having children identify the letter in signs around the room. Review the sound /i/ by holding up objects that have the letter sound /i and having children identify them.
