Skill Focus: Fine Motor Skills, Letter Formation, Letter Recognition, Vocabulary

Invite children to build the word up with blocks. You may want to help children sketch large outlines of each letter on paper for reference as they work.

Observe how children work together and ask questions, such as, How many blocks do you think you will need to make the letter “u”? A lowercase “p”?
