“Quack’s Apples” #3 (PEEP game)
Skill Focus: Active Viewing, Follow Directions
Allow children to play the interactive game PEEP and the Big Wide World “Quack’s Apples.” As children gain skills in slanting the ramps (sticks) to make the apples roll into the pond, more obstacles appear. Ask children questions such as, How many sticks do you have to turn this time? How can you make the apple bounce over to the next stick so that it can roll down? Encourage children who are becoming proficient at the game to help classmates.
Adaptation: Family-based childcare educators and smaller group learning centers may want to set up only one activity.
