Educator Prep: Before the activity, cut out a large, uppercase letter "U" for each child.
Give each child an cutout of the uppercase letter “U” to decorate.
Invite children to decorate their letter "U" with drawing materials and stamps, etc. Encourage them to use "U" objects and name each object as they use it to decorate their letter.
As children work, ask them to trace the letter outline with their fingers.
Have children share their letters and name at least one "U" object on their letter. Allow children to have a "U" parade around the room.
