Hold up a toy bus and tell children that you are going to teach them a song about a bus.

  • Ask children to share what they know about buses. You may want to show the pictures of buses to help prompt children. Encourage them to tell about a time they saw a bus or rode in a bus.
  • Encourage children to talk about how the bus helped them move from one place to another. Point to the wheels on the toy bus and show how they move as you explain that the wheels on the bus roll around and move the bus along.

Sing one verse at time and have children sing each verse after you. Encourage children to act out the motions with you as they sing.
