ELA Focus Skills: Active Listening, Making Connections, Vocabulary

Read aloud Samantha on a Roll by Linda Ashman, Ten on the Sled by Kim Norman, or another book about rolling or sliding.

Talk about how wheels or sliding movements are used in the story or shown in the concept book. Encourage children to make connections between the story/concept and their own experiences.
