“My co-teacher and I went outside to explore our play area. At first I felt discouraged: “There’s nothing here to encourage ramp exploration.” Then I thought a little more and realized we have wonderful grassy hills that we can roll things down—including ourselves! And we have a couple of slides on the playground. The children can gather pebbles, sticks, pinecones, and dead leaves and we can see what happens when we place them on the slide.”
