Babies (0 - 15 months)

It’s never too early to start sharing music with your baby. Musical experiences provide comfort to your baby, especially those that involve you singing to him. Lullabies are soothing and help your baby relax or go to sleep. Upbeat songs and tunes encourage smiling, waving arms and legs, vocalizing, and bouncing.

Music and songs in the home also provide stimulation for your baby and support his language development and listening skills. And music is fun! Listening to music, singing, and dancing can help to set or change a mood.

Even if you think you don’t have a good singing voice, your baby will. He loves your voice and will love you more every time you hold him closely and sing just for him.
